Natural Ways To Cure Acne

It is common knowledge that acne usually begins in adulthood but also affects adults. About 80% of adolescents develop some form of acne, but there are many misconceptions about why. There are facts and details about treatments as well.
Acne is made up of spots and bumps or painful lumps on the skin; it is most noticeable on the face, but it can appear on the shoulders, back and buttocks as well. Acne may cause severe scarring.

Causes Of acne

Acne is often caused by the way the skin interacts with hormonal changes; the skin contains fatty glands that release sebum naturally, and sebum is an oily substance that helps protect it. During puberty, high levels of testosterone can cause a significant increase in sebum production. This is what happens in both boys and girls.Sebum can block follicles or hair follicles. When the dead skin cells are mixed with the stoppers, this may lead to the formation of spots. The bacteria also multiply in the skin, which can cause pain and swelling (inflammation) under those stoppers.
There are different types of spots:

  1. Blackheads (blackheads), small pores clogged.
  2. White heads are small, stiff protrusions with a white center.
  3.  Warts, which are spots with lots of obvious pus.
  4. Nodules, which are painful painful lumps under the skin.

Inflammatory acne occurs when the skin becomes red and swollen as well; this is what needs to be treated early to prevent scarring.Avoid tingling or staining, as this can cause inflammation and lead to scars; patches will heal on their own in the end, but may leave redness in the skin for weeks or months afterward.Acne can become worse during times of stress or mental distress. In women, acne can be affected by the menstrual cycle. Acne may also occur during pregnancy sometimes.
If you have acne, you should gently wash the skin with a mild disinfectant and use a moisturizer free of oil. However, itching or peeling can irritate the skin, making it appear sore and painful.
Misconceptions about acne

There are many misconceptions about the causes of acne:

The food

Many people say that eating chocolate or fatty foods causes acne, but that is not true, as there is no evidence that acne is the result of what we eat. However, a balanced diet is good for public health, aiming to eat as healthy as possible.

Lack of hygiene

Some people think that acne is a result of lack of personal hygiene, but this is not true; if a person gets acne, he will get it no matter how clean his skin. Over-cleaning can make the situation worse by removing the protective oils from the skin.

Make-up

There is also a misconception that makeup can cause stains, but there is no evidence that this is true; however, the less one touches one's skin, the fewer germs it spreads. Therefore, when putting make-up, you should wash your hands beforehand, as you should remove make-up before going to bed always.

Acne Treatment

Acne usually goes away on its own, but it can take many years. Therefore, there are treatments that may help remove acne faster. Non-prescription lotions can be useful in treating mild acne.
It is helpful to ask your pharmacist or doctor for advice about which treatment can help cure, and about how long it will be used. However, results may not appear several weeks ago.
If over-the-counter treatments do not help, you can use those that are available by prescription, where the doctor can assess the severity of acne, and discuss options with the patient. There is no need to be afraid to tell your doctor about the extent to which acne affects the patient's life, and how he feels about it.Non-inflammatory light acne consists of white and black heads. Treatments include gels or preparations that may contain retinoids, topical antibiotics (applied to the skin), benzoyl peroxide (bactericidal) or acetic acid
These drugs, or a combination of them, can be used to treat mild or moderate inflammatory acne, which also shows some pimples and nodules. Treatment may take up to eight weeks before one sees a difference in the skin, and the treatment may need to last for six months.
In women, oral contraceptives containing estrogen can help remove acne.
If acne is severe, the doctor may refer the patient to a dermatologist who may prescribe a stronger drug called isotretinoin.
